Major Intervention areas/activities

– Environmental awareness development/ education with special focus to schools, training on natural resources management,

– Establishment of demonstration sites on energy (energy saving stoves, bio-gas & to some extent solar energy) and construction (mud-house construction),

– Organizing public gatherings and policy dialogue on key issues of sustainable development,

– Established farmers’ based community tree nursery sites

– Production of newsletter, posters & brochures on environmental hotspots,

Major Activities & Achievements

Lem Ethiopia collaborates with a number of GOs and NGOs whenever there is a common ground and if the collaboration does not contradict with its objectives on different interventions and development efforts to the best of its capacity. With regard to this, it has made a number of interventions through different approaches. Since its inception, it has been involved in a number of interventions/activities that are directly related to natural resources management. The major areas are the following:

– Establishment & Strengthening of School Environmental Education & Protection Clubs.
– Promotion of Appropriate Technologies: Awareness Development;
– Partnership & Networking
